Walking and Cycling

WELCOME TO OUR WALKERS HOLIDAYS

We are situated a very short distance from the South West Coast Path on the North Cornish Coast, rugged and beautiful, but the area has so much more to offer walkers.

The area is packed with cross country walks mostly circular and Bodmin Moor is only 15 minutes away with endless open access walking and packed with things to see. We have deep wooded valleys open pasture and the moors.

The bookshelf in our accommodation is packed with maps and books of walks, including the detailed coast path guides. Our local Visitors Centre carries many more.

Having explored and walked Cornwall all our lives we can offer you our own experiences and tailor make walks to suit your needs, offering ideas on things to see and places to eat and drink along the way.

The utility room has a washing machine and provides a warm drying area for your kit.

WELCOME TO OUR CYCLING HOLIDAYS

We have within 1 hour of our accommodation at least 10 major off road trails (including The Granite Way, coast to coast, camel and tarka trails). The Camel Trail being 15 minutes away. These are all detailed and mapped in our folder and available to take with you.

Cornwall also has Cycle Route 3 running its length. Road cyclists will also enjoy the lanes on the North Cornwall Coast and going up and over a large area of Bodmin Moor.

Having lived and explored Cornwall all our lives we can also tailor make routes by road or trail to suit all levels of cyclists ability, advising on things to see and do on route and the best places to eat and drink on your journey.

We offer secure storage for your bikes and a workshop area with most of the tools you may require plus 35 years of my own mechanical experience. We also have a list of cycle shops and hire companies.

The utility room has a washing machine and provides a warm drying area for your kit.

Outside is a hose for washing down. We also have a high lift cycle rack for your car if you wish to borrow it and cycle lock.

Although cycling is great at any time - we think you may enjoy the spring and autumn, with fresh greenness and autumn colours. The roads and trails are generally quieter at this time of year.
